Another Love was a hit for the Swedish indie act Julian Azar. With support from Swedish National Radio, Spotify and a lot of local blogs and magazines he really made an impact on the pop scene. Now its time for the remixes of the song.
First out is an emotional remix signed by house producer Eric Shaw (with prevously releases such as “Meander” on Captured Music). The second remix is signed by London based producer Azin Ashourvan (also known as one part of the legacy Unarmed Enemies).
The last remix is not just a remix but also a remake by Julian Azar himself and his colleague Markus Bergh under the techno/house project Av en vän. The remix adds a new rhythm to the song that aims to get the listener to wanna dance every night away until early mornings.
“I remember that I drove to Markus place in the middle of the night, I’ve had heard a dub version of Loud places and wanted to create something like that myself. The result was me sitting with Markus remixing my own single.”
The 22nd of september 2016 Julian Azar will release his debutalbum on the record lable “Tack För Igår”.

Daddy Mango is a new moniker, from one half of the duo Gin & Gin, who aims to provide the universe of funk with re-edits, revisions, originals, rubs, dubs and what not. This is his dj friendly, hook repetitive and rhythm fueled take on the modern classic ”Make The Road By Walking”, probably most recognized for being sampled by Jay-Z, by the Menahan Street Band. Enjoy!

The musican and producer Julian Azar was borned and raised in a home filled with music. The childhood anthems was Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode and Michael Jacksson. These artists together with the influences from todays music (such as years & years, jamie xx and foster the people) made Julian try a sound that mixed the genres disco, indie and techno.
The song “Another Love” was written by Julian with inspiration/support from Robin Eveborn (Last Lynx). The final production was made by Dennis Tkacuk Lundkvist (Tkacuk).
We asked him a couple of questions about the process of coming up with new music.
You work with several people when you make your music, isn’t that a a threat of maintaining your own sound?
I am really confident that the people I work with understand my musical ideas, I would never work with a person that didn’t have a clue of who I am as a producer and a person. The people that I involve in the process I often have known for a couple of years.
Tell us about these people? Sounds like you have a bunch of them?
Haha, it might sound like that but at the moment I only work with two more people, Dennis Tkacuk Lundkvist and Jimmy Loefgren – they are my musical team but sometimes I include others aswell, as for example Another Love I worked a bit with Robin Eveborn from Last Lynx and Karl Lund (Karl Alley) from Kings of the universe.
Describe the process of making a new song?
Often I write a brief outline on guitarr or in my DAW Reason and then send it around to the others, I also get a lot of outlines from Jimmy Loefgren. When we have figured out of how to make them mine and how to turn them into the Julian Azar sound we pass them on as midifiles to Dennis Tkacuk and he as a producer start cleaning them up and add the right sounds. We have a couple of sessions together where we try out the lyrics that I have written and then record everyting.
Would you say that this is a new way of being a soloartist?
Probably not, I think all major artists work in this kind of way. The biggest difference is probably that we also release everything ourselves and handle all realtions with promotion. It’s the new way of handling a carrier, the DIY (Do it yourself) way suits me very good, I like to have total control of all steps when it comes to my music.
Julian Azar release the song Another Love on his record lable Tack För Igår the 22nd of april and will during May release a couple of remixes on the song.
